Hmm, I feel like one of the few people who aren't running into problems. Maybe it's because I just reinstalled Windows less than a month ago. :)

Hey Guys,

If you watch the nice new engine video above it has a great looking Ocean shader, but when i use the engine the Ocean looks nothing like it from the video, even tried veryhigh spec but still the same. Anybody else have the same experience?

You are looking at wrong direction. Ok, lets do that a lil bit easy way:

X: 572.1
Y: 584.78
Z: 143.24

Rotate your cam to: Angl= 0 - 0 - 89 - and you`ll see nice "soaring" stones (because of POM) :D

PS. Another "joke"

1. Open «Forest» level
2. Display -> Goto Position
3. Enter:

X: 552.86
Y: 492.99
Z: 146.31

4. Press Go To
5. Rotate camera to Angl= 0 - 0 - 149
6. Open TOD editor and set time to 15:30
7. Set Sky color multiplier to 0
8. Start moving your camera up and down, tiny bit left, tiny bit right. :cheesy:

Doesn't make the problem less annoying.

Same here, it's really dissapointing, and I'm quite perplexed how all these fixes actually made more serious bugs than before.

Is there a way to simply update my Sandbox Install or do I have to uninstall everything and Reinstall? If no, can I save my Data?

It's just a matter of tweaking the Shader Params in the Material Editor. You can achieve great results with it. You can also exchange the NormalMap for the water and adjust settings thereafter.

After enough tweaking you can achieve this :

Just unpack build 3410 to a fresh dir and copy all your modifed data (levels, textures, objects etc...) to the appropriate directories.

I'm sure there's a million ways you could bug the visuals by turning off settings :P

As for the floating rocks, these kinds of issues are expected when you introduce POM because what was once flat is now floating, as an inherent downside of POM, it pulls textures inwards to create the illusion of depth. We will fix these issues as we go :)
