I was just looking through the Battlefield 3 GDC 2012 presentations and I see they used destruction depth quite a lot, I was wondering if you could do this in Cry Engine?
CryEngine 1 let you shoot craters but this feature has been removed since CE2. Destroyable models is possible in a ton ways, prefabs, breakables, destroyables, even some procedural destruction (only for thin materials and trees though)
