Post Topic: New mapper with potential looking for work Posted 30.04.2012, 16:23 |
Hello everyone at Crydev.net! I'm new with the CryEngine, but I do have previous mapping experience with Source SDK 2009 - the Half Life 2 tool. I've recently been testing out different engines and I think CryTek seems to be the most interesting one. After playing around with it for about an hour, I decided to actually create something, which lead me to this: I looked at it for a while and thought it needed something. After reading a river tutorial and figured out how to carve, I came up with this, plus an underwater "WIP" cave which isn't done yet: You can contact me on my instant email; Jeppes-iphone@hotmail.comI'm from Denmark but I won't have any problems with oral English nor with the written language. I hope hearing from you! Jeppe Hansen

I am looking to put together a team for a RPG style game. I'm a 3D modeler I can also do the maps, It wouldn't hurt to have another map designer. Right now Its just me and my lua coder Migrenus. If you would like to join our team you may join my development forum. That link is: http://ivn-gaming.net/To learn more about the game I wanna develop please refer to: viewtopic.php?f=316&t=89509Here are some examples of my work: And here is a human model I'm working on now:

From the screenshots above, I can see that you are quite good at this. My team is very small right now, and we are looking for people with skill and experience. You can check out my project by clicking on the image in my signature.

Hey guys and thank you for your offers. I've gotten many emails so far, but most of the project are - well, a bit slow or not very serious. I'll try to check out some of your offers though

Prolly shouldn't call yourself a Crytek mapper if... you're not...

Quote by The Vulture: Prolly shouldn't call yourself a Crytek mapper if... you're not... You forgot the "new" in front of it, plus I don't mention myself as a Crytek mapper. I've had about 2 years experience with the Source engine, which probably makes me a mapper - Source mapper, is what you would most likely call it. See how I mention "with potential". Nothing states I'm experience with the CryEngine, so I sure hope you don't think so, as I'm only mentioning the potential. From my past experience, I'm sure I'll learn how to handle the CryEngine just well sometime soon.

Quote by killazz112: I'm a new CryTek mapper That suggests you're working for Crytek, or something. I would say "new CryEngine mapper", because that's what you literally are. Crytek has nothing to do with this. CryEngine is the engine you're using.
