Hi, i am obiwahn and at this moment i am writing on a Crysis Mod Launcher Tool, the CryMod-Launcher (CML).
I've already programmed a launcher tool, but for bf2 and i would love to make one for crysis, my new fav game :)

I want to collect suggestions for features, so i can implement features that are wanted from the community! :easter:

[ADDED] Backup .cry-file (e.g. core.cry -> core_ddmmyyyy_hhmmss.cry)
[ADDED] With "Custom Parameters" you are able to add more parameters for launch (saved in "custom_params.cml")
[ADDED] Now you can save your settings (saved in "settings.cml"), the settings load at program start
[CHANGED] A few GUI changes

Features v0.1:

- Simple TrayIcon
- Reads game directory from the registry
- Checks if you have a Bin32 or Bin64 directory
- List all installed mods
- List all levels (Sorted by Singleplayer, Multiplayer and Gamemodes)
- Create new mod (directory structures)
- Open mod directory
- Open level directory
- Open mod with editor
- Open level with editor (you must have .cry files associated with Editor.exe!)
- Launch game with mod and/or map (launch a map in a mod doesn't work at the moment, i think Crytek will fix that)
- Launch in windowed mode with selectable resolution
- Launch game with settings "Low, Medium, High, Very High or Profile" (Profile = Your settings!)
- Launch Game in devmode
- Enable/Disable DisplayInfo

These features are coming in the next version:
- Backup-Tool for Mods
- Hotlinks Function (You can define shortcuts you can launch from the mod launcher or the trayicon (often used dirs, etc.)

Looks/sounds fantastic!

I don't know any feature I would like to be implented, those things you've said here are all I need :P So sorry for not having any suggestions, I just want to say that I really like the idea and features of the CML.
Btw: In which language are you programming this?

I am programming it with Delphi 2006, because it is easier for such small tools ^^
At the moment i am learning a little bit C++, but only for the Crysis-SDK ^^

PS: For those wo dont want to wait, here is already a Launcher from Clivey: Crysis Launcher

Now i have implemented these things:

- Start Mod/Maps with Crysis or Editor
- Mod Wizard (Create Directories)
- Start Crysis in devmode
- Start Crysis in windowed mode
- Choose Render Settings (Low, Med, High, VeryHigh, Custom)
- Choose Resolution

Tomorrow evening (20th Nov, ~8pm CET)) i will release the first Version (v0.1)

Just as information for the interested ^^

Delphi pwns, i made my STALKER server launcher with it, and i was thinking about making a crysis dedi launcher with it also ;p good job so far :)

Yeah, i love to programming with Delphi, its just soo easy :D

I would love to see a Dedicated Server Launcher! :)

I've just downloaded the CML and I love it.
Thanks for making this cool little tool which will spare me a lot of time! :P

so what is wrong with adding scripts.. i noticed that this launcher wont make a scripts directory. does this mean that mods cant have modded scripts yet ??
