FAQ

Q: Why the abrupt end in the game?
A: I worked very long (more than 2 years) on Storm and I had made many changes in the general concept(Story, Locations, Gameplay etc.) . Now I reached a point where I think I should released it, otherways I would never finish it and people would not care anymore.

Looks environmentally stunning, though I would suggest you look at some optimisation techniques, as you really should try and remain below 2500 drawcalls.

The String has spoken, with a correct sence of matter :)

Indeed, your Drawcalls/points (DP) is a bit high. Going down to 2500 is quite advisable. Your map looks pretty compact (no distant vegetation) so you can lower the range on which grass is drawn.

Looking good mate :)

Okay!
3 hours of reworking an older part of the level are behind me. Now i have to show you the result. I like the shadows of the flare and the red color in the contrast to the lemon-colored environment. Picture 4 shows a topview, the red line shows the levels passage, the green dots are the places where i took the pictures. I hope you like it! :D

Try adding a tornado.
That could become interesting in a battle when your blasting NKs and they get swept up.

don`t use too many voluminetric lights. It takes a lot of performance. ( at least for me it did)
I added 10 volume lights on my Shibuya map and the FPS dropped from 87fps to 45.

But the screens are looking really promising.

The pure Volumelight(with out the shadow flag) causes at my pc just a drop of 0.5fps. :))I use the shadow flag only at the cave(2-3FPS drop). Don't worry, I will keep an eye on the performance. ;)
